1. 01

   Accepting these terms

   By signing up for or visiting Kayanin, you confirm that you have read these Terms of Use, that you understand them, and that you agree to follow them.

   If you do not agree to any of these terms, do not use the platform. The simplest way is to close the tab and not sign up.

   These terms apply to every visitor of the site, including signed-out browsers, signed-in Members, Employer / Business account holders, and Agency account holders. The boundary below applies to all of them.

2. 02

   What Kayanin is — and what it is not

   Kayanin is a three-sided career platform connecting three peers — Filipino Workers, the Employers / Businesses hiring them, and the Agencies that introduce both sides. It operates a 0–100 trust index (Worker Trust, Employer Score, Agency Score) that surfaces a trust signal before two peers ever hold a direct conversation.

   To make the boundary unmistakable, here are eight statements that hold on every page of the platform:

   • Kayanin is NOT a recruitment agency. Kayanin does not place Workers into jobs.
   • Kayanin does NOT charge Workers for job access, applications, or resume storage. Job search stays free at every tier.
   • Kayanin does NOT take a cut of wages. Wage payment runs from Employer to Worker (or through an Agency intermediary where one is in the loop); Kayanin is not party to it.
   • Kayanin does NOT guarantee employment. A 0–100 score is a trust signal, not a job offer or a referral.
   • Worker Trust, Employer Score, and Agency Score are trust signals, NOT endorsements. They reflect what the data plane has measured, not a recommendation to engage.
   • Kayanin charges Employer-side subscriptions and Agency-side subscriptions to fund the platform. The Worker side stays free, with no per-application fee, no per-message fee, and no per-feature paywall on the core flow.
   • Agency intermediaries introduce Workers to Employers. They sit between the two sides; Kayanin itself is not the intermediary.
   • The seven-dimension score for each peer (Worker / Employer / Agency) is the shared trust rubric. The full breakdown is on the methodology page; the live, signed data plane is on /trust/explainer.

   If any surface of Kayanin appears to contradict these eight statements, the statements on this page are the source of truth.

3. 03

   Accounts

   To apply for jobs, post jobs, register an Agency, or score the platform, you will sign up for an account. The things that follow apply to every account on the platform:

   • You provide accurate information at sign-up and update it if it changes. Kayanin uses the data you submit to compute the trust score on your side.
   • You are responsible for your password and for the activity on your account. Do not share it; do not let anyone else post under your name.
   • You will receive transactional email tied to the account (sign-in alerts on a new device, payment receipts, application status changes). You cannot opt out of these — they are the operational signal the platform needs to send.
   • Kayanin may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, the community guidelines, or the verification rules. Enforcement is described in /community-guidelines.
   • You can request account closure at any time by emailing the contact address below. Closure proceeds within 30 days, with confirmation by email.

4. 04

   Acceptable use

   The full list of what counts as acceptable and what does not is on the community guidelines page. The summary on this page is the headline; the canonical list lives at /community-guidelines.

   • Do not post content you do not have the right to share — job listings copied from a third party without permission, scraped reviews, or material that infringes a third-party mark.
   • Do not impersonate another person, business, agency, or government entity. The platform verifies identity at sign-up; misrepresentation voids your trust score.
   • Do not use the platform to recruit Workers into schemes that violate the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) / POEA rules — upfront fees, off-platform-only contact, or unlicensed recruitment are all red-line behaviour.
   • Do not scrape the site, crawl listings at volume, or harvest Member data. The data feeds power the trust layer; harvesting degrades that layer for everyone.
   • Do not attempt to game the score. Artificially inflated signals are removed and the underlying account is reviewed.

5. 05

   User content

   You own the content you post on Kayanin — your profile, your applications, the reviews you leave, the job listings you publish, and the Agency profile fields you fill in.

   Kayanin gets a limited licence to display that content on the platform (and only on the platform) so the three peers can see what they need to make a decision. The licence ends when you delete the content or close the account; it does not extend to redistribution, syndication, or training third-party models.

   You confirm, by posting, that you have the right to post the content — that you wrote it, that you own it, or that the rights-holder has authorised it.

6. 06

   Third-party services

   A small number of third-party services are part of operating the platform:

   • Stripe — for billing. Card data is held by Stripe under their own terms; Kayanin receives only the event type, the session identifier, and the success / cancelled status.
   • An identity-verification partner — for the registration / tax-id and the POEA / DMW licence cross-reference that gates posting on the platform.
   • A standard email-transport provider — for the transactional email above and the contact-form route.

   Kayanin does not currently run third-party analytics, advertising, remarketing, or social-media embed widgets. The cookies page lists the categories we deliberately leave empty.

7. 07

   Disclaimer

   Kayanin provides the platform and the trust signals "as is" and "as available".

   Kayanin does its best to keep the trust signals accurate, the listings verified, and the platform online — but Kayanin does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, that every score will be free of error, or that any one listing or contact will turn into a job, an introduction, or a placement.

   Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, financial, immigration, or professional advice. For those questions, consult a qualified professional in the relevant jurisdiction.

8. 08

   Limitation of liability

   To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Kayanin is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damage arising out of or relating to your use of the platform — including lost wages, lost opportunities, lost business, or lost goodwill.

   Kayanin's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid Kayanin in the twelve months before the claim and (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

   Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law (for example, liability for fraud, for death, or for personal injury caused by negligence).

9. 09

   Changes to these terms

   We update these terms when the rules of the platform change — for example, when a new fee surface is introduced, when a new score dimension is added, or when enforcement language needs to be tightened against a new scam pattern.

   The "Last updated" date at the top of this page is the source of truth for the current revision. Material changes are also announced on the home page. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect signals acceptance of the new terms.
