Kayanin sets a single sign-in cookie and nothing else — no analytics, no advertising, no third-party embed scripts. This page describes exactly what that cookie does and how to manage it.

  1. 01

    What cookies are

    Cookies are small text files your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember state between requests — for example, that you are signed in, or which language you selected.

    Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function. Others (analytics, advertising, social-media embeds) track behaviour across sites and are set by the page or by third parties embedded in it. Kayanin only uses the first kind.

    Cookies we set

    Kayanin sets one cookie, used to keep you signed in across page loads and API calls.

    Session cookie — strictly necessary. Issued by better-auth when you sign in, expires on sign-out or after a short idle period. No personal data is stored in the cookie itself — only an opaque session identifier that maps back to a server-side session row.

    No analytics, marketing, advertising, or third-party tracker cookies are set anywhere on the site.

  3. 03

    Cookies we do NOT set

    Kayanin sets no cookies from the following categories, and embeds no scripts that would set them either:

    • Third-party advertising or remarketing cookies (no Google Ads, no Meta Pixel, no TikTok Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag).
    • Analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Hotjar, no session-replay SDKs).
    • Social-media embed cookies (no third-party Facebook / Instagram / X / LinkedIn widgets loaded from a third-party origin).
    • A/B-testing or experimentation cookies (no Optimizely, no LaunchDarkly, no VWO).

    Managing cookies

    Because the only cookie Kayanin sets is the strictly-necessary session cookie, the practical choice for most visitors is: leave it on, or sign out and block it.

    You can clear, block, or limit cookies from your browser settings. The exact path differs by browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge all expose cookie controls in their privacy or settings panel. Clearing all cookies will sign you out of Kayanin the next time you load a page.

    Disabling cookies entirely will break sign-in: you cannot stay authenticated on Kayanin if the browser refuses the session cookie, and the site does not offer a non-cookie fallback.

    If you use a private / incognito window, the session cookie is discarded when you close the window — which signs you out automatically.

  5. 05

    Changes to this policy

    We update this page when the cookies we set change — for example, if a third-party service is ever introduced for embedded content or analytics. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page is the source of truth for the current revision.

    Material changes are also announced on the home page. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect signals acceptance of the new cookie behaviour.
